The EBRD will be represented at COP23 in Bonn with a senior management delegation and will organise several high-ranking events. During the conference the Bank will discuss the challenges of climate change and set out its successful approach to the delivery of green financing.
The EBRD will hold several events, looking at the fiscal impact of climate change, at technology transfer, climate adaptation, the green cities framework and also the legal and institutional developments that support the implementation of the 2015 Paris Agreement.
Being the leading investor in sustainable energy and climate finance in many of its countries of operations, the EBRD has invested over €24 billion since 2006 in some 1,400 projects that are helping to reduce CO2 emissions. The Bank is well on the way to meeting its Paris Climate Agreement pledge of dedicating 40 per cent of its annual investment volume to climate finance by 2020.
